My name is Zoe Phillips; I am a journalist and essayist with a love for art, media and culture. As a writer, I'm especially appreciative of words that feel like dancing and sentences that sound like music — bonus points if the end result tells a story you didn't even know you needed to hear. In 2021, I graduated from the University of Michigan with a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish, where I also served as Managing Arts Editor for The Michigan Daily. My work has been featured in Dance Magazine, Pointe, Dance Teacher, Inside Higher Ed and The Michigan Daily. Originally from California, I currently live in Ann Arbor, MI with my beloved cat, Marius Petipa.
